HBAUC and the Community
HBAUC members believe in supporting the community in which they
live. The
Association has donated over $80,000 into Putnam County over
the past ten
years.
Putnam County Habitat for Humanity, a local affiliate of Habitat
for
Humanity International, is one of the favorite organizations
of HBAUC. The
mission of PCHFH is to provide safe, decent, and affordable housing
to those
in need. Both organizations understand the importance that home
ownership
plays in the development of a family. Through the support of
HBAUC and
other donors, volunteers, and supporters; Putnam County Habitat
for Humanity
has built more than 30 homes in our community. In addition to
financial
support, HBAUC members are often found volunteering on Habitat
job sites.
Education is an important focus for HBAUC. The future of the
home building
industry relies on the youth of today. With this in mind, HBAUC
is a
regular supporter of the Putnam County School System Vocational
Education
Program. In addition to financial support, members of HBAUC offer
their
time to assist the educators in the classroom.
